NAMES
Company Name
- The name SVALT is derived from the French word “svelte,” meaning graceful & elegant, and the Swedish word “sval,” meaning elegant & cool.
Product and Model Naming Convention
- The first capitalized letter designates the product line as “D” for Cooling Dock, “F” for Cooling Fan, and “S” for Cooling Stand. However, for the new Mx product line, the “M” designates it as the Modular Heatsink Cooling System product line, that is then followed by “D” or “S” to designate the product model as being a Dock or a Stand modular configuration.
- Each product line is primarily defined by the SVALT designed and manufactured custom metal structure as well as the device type the structure supports and the way it supports the device, such as a laptop used with the screen closed in clamshell mode or a laptop with the screen open.
- Some models have additional capitalized letters after the first product line letter. These designate a product line category, such as “H” for Heatsink, “C” for Conductive, “R” for Rectilinear, and “L” for Legacy. These designations define characteristics of the metal structure’s cooling function and design styling.
- Some models will have lower case “x” after the initial set of capitalized letters, which designates a product as having an exchangeable modular component, either a laptop support system component or a fan cooling system component. All capitalized letters and numbers that follow the “x” define the model’s included modular configuration.
