The Mx product line uses a right-to-repair modular system that is designed to endure, and ships with all of the tools required for disassembly to clean, service, replace, upgrade or otherwise exercise right-to-repair usage.

The Mx is available with hundreds of configurations for the initial purchase, as well as reconfiguration after purchase through available modular components and accessories to give customers a wide range of options to best meet their current and future laptop workstation needs.

The Mx’s modular components are made of high-quality materials, such as anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and high-grade bamboo plywoods, which are oversized for added strength and longer life span. Component connections use extra-large fasteners for increased strength and increased durability over repeated reconnections.

The Mx product line was designed for silent heatsink cooling without the need for electric power, however, the Mx was also designed for use with a fan cooling system. Mx models can be configured with a variety of modular right-to-repair fan systems, or customers can provide their own DIY fan system. Each Mx fan system uses high-end fans with long life bearings, standard available fan sizes, standard bolted assemblies, and standard snap connectors for modular power, on/off and speed-control components.

Mx modular components and accessories are available to order separately through the Mx Components and the Fx Cooling Fan accessory product pages.

MODULAR PACKAGING SUSTAINABILITY

The Mx product line’s bolted modularity extends to the packaging system that uses a single exterior cardboard box, modular cardboard insert layers and heavy duty bolted connections for increased protection, durability and sustainability. The bolted assembly protects components from contact with one another and holds the components away from external impacts.

A single cardboard box serves as both the product and shipping box, thus eliminating the additional waste of having a separate outer shipping box with additional interior volume fill and cushioning. Within the Mx’s single shipping and product box, folded cardboard inserts bolt onto each side of the heatsink. Cardboard accessory boxes are located inside the heatsink’s folded cardboard inserts and use paper envelopes to hold small items. The side supports bolt onto flat cardboard inserts that stack up with double and triple side support configurations.

RECYCLE & BIODEGRADE SUSTAINABILITY

The Mx product line and packaging system are physical objects that represent SVALT’s dedication to sustainability. The Mx was designed for increased durability, flexibility and adaptability to changing customer needs, extended material and product life cycle, and then as close as possible to full recyclability at the end-of-life cycle.

The Mx heatsink and aluminum supports are made are made of anodized aluminum with metal bolted connections, and intentionally minimizes the use of plastics. Aluminum and metal are considered to be among the most commonly and easily recycled materials.

The Mx wood supports are made from 100% Bamboo plywood with formaldehyde-free binder (FSC certified). Bamboo is a strong, durable, fast-growing, rapidly-renewable and biodegradable material that is considered a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional hardwoods.

The Mx modular packaging system is made primarily from cardboard, as well as other paper/plant/fiber based materials that include a varying degree of recycled content. Cardboard/paper/plant/fiber based materials are considered biodegradable, and are considered commonly and easily recycled materials.
