Select Support Finish

The Mx aluminum side supports are available in the following finishes:


Space Black Anodize: A dark gray anodize with bead-blasted surface similar to Apple’s Space Black finish available on MacBook Pros from 2023+.


Space Gray Anodize: A gray anodize with bead-blasted surface similar to Apple’s Space Gray finish available on prior model year laptops.


Silver Anodize: A clear anodize with light gray color and with bead-blasted surface similar to Apple’s Silver finish available on all Mac laptops.


Raw Aluminum: Raw aluminum with hand and mill finish surfaces have a mildly bright “silver” like appearance. This finish has a reduced lead time and reduced cost for an untreated aluminum finish that will patina and change appearance over time. Customers may prefer the patina appearance, or they can recondition and brighten surfaces as desired.


Discount Bundled Supports: Add extra supports to have multiple laptop setups or a variety of support materials finishes and colors. Receive a bundle discount on each extra set of supports by adding the following items to the shopping cart: 1) Add any one of the nine Mx products and 2) Add one to three sets of the Mx supports with twenty-four different support types, materials and colors from the Mx Components page.

Select Heatsink Finish

The Mx heatsink includes a hand finished coupling plate to maximize heatsink cooling performance, and is available with the following finishes:


Space Black Anodize: A dark gray anodized aluminum with hand and mill finish surfaces similar to Apple’s Space Black finish available on MacBook Pros from 2023+. The anodized heatsink’s coupling plate prioritizes functional performance and may not be as visually even and consistent as the anodized support's heavy-texture bead-blast surfaces.


Raw Aluminum: Raw aluminum with hand and mill finish surfaces have a mildly bright “silver” like appearance. This finish has a reduced lead time and reduced cost for an untreated aluminum finish that will patina and change appearance over time. Customers may prefer the patina appearance, or they can recondition and brighten surfaces as desired.

Select Fan Cooling System

The massive Mx heatsink provides silent thermally conductive cooling, and was also designed for fan driven airflows to boost cooling performance.


The Mx with high stand supports works with the extra-large 140mm fan that bolts directly onto the heatsink for efficient and quiet heatsink cooling. Available 140mm fan systems:


140mm fixed-speed gray fan G09(14): The gray Noctua NF-P14s redux-900 fan offers a good balance between cooling and noise performance with long-life bearings, 900 rpm speed, 49.3 CFM / 84 m3h airflow, 0.77 mm H2O static pressure, and 13.2 dBA noise.


140mm adjust-speed black fan B15(14): The black Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap fan and the Noctua NA-FC1 speed-controller covers the full range of ultra-quiet to hi-airflow cooling performance with ultra-long-life bearings, 300 to 1500 rpm speed, 82.5 CFM / 140 m3h airflow, 2.08 mm H2O static pressure, 0-24.6 dBA noise when set to maximum speed.


140mm adjust-speed black fan B15.2(14): The black Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM chromax.black fan and Noctua NA-FC1 speed-controller is Noctua’s latest next-generation fan design that covers the full range of ultra-quiet to hi-airflow cooling performance with ultra-long-life bearings, 300 to 1500 rpm speed, 91.6 CFM / 156 m3h airflow, 2.56 mm H2O static pressure, 0-24.8 dBA noise when set to maximum speed.
